Maegan and Mason were married on a rainy day in May at The Farmhouse. Despite the dreary weather everyone’s excitement was electric. I could hear the girls laughing as music played while they had their hair and makeup done by Sunkissed and Madeup. The guys were relaxed and enjoying games of cornhole on the patio. Even the vendors had a little extra pep in our step as we each setup our particular details for such a sincere couple.
Maegan booked our Event Management package because this package includes a shorter amount of time than our Full Service package we don’t have as much of an opportunity to get to know our couples, however, things were different with Maegan and Mason. From our very first meeting I knew that working with Maegan would come naturally.
Her laid back personality and attention to detail was basically my love language. Both of their families and friends were warm and welcoming so preparing to celebrate them in the weeks leading up to the wedding was easy and celebrating them on the actual day was a blast. As setup was underway and each vendor displayed their craft it was clear that Maegan had made some phenomenal choices. Poison Ivy provided the linens and the most beautiful floral arrangements. Each centerpiece’s free flowing design emulated Maegan’s free spirit – bright and happy. Maegan’s mom owns her own print studio and designed and printed all of the canvas signage you see pictured. They were beautiful and the quality was incredible! They had me daydreaming of custom signage for our house and I’ll definitely be recommending them to any future brides. As planners we have our go-to vendors, our people, the ones that we regularly recommend because we trust them with our clients and our reputation. I had the pleasure of working with Tony from A-List Entertainers for the first time at Maegan and Mason’s wedding and let me tell you it will not be the last. Tony was AMAZING! He was a great DJ who was easy to work with but what made him exceptional was his voice! During dinner he serenaded guests with songs from Garth Brooks, Frank Sinatra, and even Etta James. I was blown away by his talent. Fun fact: Mason is Roger Creager’s nephew and it’s clear that smooth country vocals run in the family because Mason wrote and recorded the most beautiful song for Maegan (more on that in a minute). My point is Mason knows his music so for him to choose Tony to sing at his wedding said A LOT. In the weeks approaching the wedding Mason wrote and recorded the sweetest song for his bride as his gift to her. She sat quietly poised in the bridal suite with headphones and listened to it. After hearing a short clip on their video I can totally see why Maegan had tears rolling down her cheeks as she listened. I was getting a little teary-eyed just listening to that one clip! We’ve seen a lot of sincere gift exchanges but Mason’s gift might be the most sincere and talented one yet! Maegan and Mason I pray that you remember exactly how much you love one another in this moment and continue to grow in your love and friendship for the rest of your lives! Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your beautiful day.
